There are three instructors and two guest instructors in the program. One microbiology lab, one chemistry lab, one general lab an done production workshop take place as physical facilities.

Our mission is to train technicians who meet the needs of the manufacturing sector in the profession,search and improve the innovations in the field, have adequate professional knowledge and skills.

Our vision is to be a program which trains technical staff needed at the national level, produce updated,rational solutions to scientific and technological problems, be capable of education, research and practice

Food industry is in the rapid development in our country and in our region. The objective of the program is to train the students who respond to the needs of public organizations and food industry of our region and our country, have knowledge and skills at a level to compete in the field, have environmetal awareness and teamwork, love their country and professions. In addition, the other purpose of the program is to educate the students who have a duty during the process of the production in the lab of public or private establishments. In the program the students are given the courses such as English, Laboratory Techniques, food analysis, computer training and other supportive courses apart from major area courses. In this way it is aimed at improving the quality of graduates.

With the necessary conditions the following areas of vocational high schools have the opportunity for open acceptance: These areas: Food Technology, Food Industry, Food-Processing Industry, Food Control Analysis, Food Technology, Food Technology-Food Control and Analysis, Food Technology-Food Control and Analysis, Food Technology-Agency Nutrition, Nutrition and Household Management, milling, Home Management, Home Management and Nutrition, Food Control and Analysis, Nutrition Institute

Food technicians are able to work in Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry attached to the Directorate of Food and Control, Provincial and District units, the relevant sections of the Ministry of Health and Food Inspection Branch of Municipalities as to public establishments. As to private establishments the grad students are able to work in the Food Industry departments of R & D, production, quality assurance, marketing, import and export with the title ‘Food Technician’. They are also able to work in Special Food Analysis lab and the labs of research institutions such as TUBITAK; Food Research Institute.

Our students take courses in our school for the first 3 semesters and do an internship in industry in the 4th semester.

The students who completed associate degree successfully are able to make vertical transfer to universities’ four-year undergraduate programs such as Food Engineering, Chemistry, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Agricultural Biotechnology with a sufficient score in the exam ‘DGS’ arranged by OSYM.
